How to Clean and Replace AC Cabin Filter in Maruti Suzuki Celerio

What you need before starting
- Replacement Cabin AC Filter: Maruti Suzuki Genuine Cabin Air Filter (if replacing)
- Cleaning Equipment: Compressed air duster or soft brush (if cleaning the existing filter)
- Tools: No tools required (hand-operated glove box tabs)

Access the glove box area
Open the dashboard glove box / storage bin fully to access the rear stopper tabs.
Remove the glove box
Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward near the top rubber stopper tabs to disengage them from the dashboard housing. Unhook the bottom hinges and pull the glove box completely out of the car.
Remove the AC filter cover
Locate the rectangular AC filter housing cover behind the glove box cavity. Unclip the side retaining latches and remove the cover plate to expose the cabin filter tray.
Remove and clean or replace the filter
Slide the AC cabin filter straight out of the housing slot. Tap out loose dust and debris or use compressed air/a soft brush to clean it thoroughly. If replacing, discard the old element.
Reinstall the AC filter
Slide the cleaned or new filter back into the housing slot, ensuring the "UP" arrow indicator on the frame or tray points upward toward the top of the dashboard.
Reattach the filter housing cover
Position the plastic cover back over the filter opening and press firmly until you hear a clear "click" sound confirming the cover latches have engaged.
Reinstall the glove box
Align the lower hinges of the glove box with the mounting points at the base of the dashboard. Push the glove box upward and inward until the side rubber stoppers snap back into their guide tracks.
If something does not work
Glove box feels stuck during removal: Ensure both side rubber stopper tabs are squeezed inward simultaneously to clear the dashboard frame.
Filter cover won't click shut: Verify the AC filter is pushed all the way into the housing tray so it sits flush with the frame.
Airflow feels weak after installation: Check that the filter was reinserted with the "UP" direction arrow pointing toward the top of the car, as installing it upside down restricts air volume.
