Core Concept & BLE Architecture
The application is designed for remote monitoring over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The child's device acts as a BLE Peripheral (advertising its presence and sending data), while the parent's device acts as a BLE Central (scanning for nearby peripheral devices and receiving data).
Installation & Permission Setup
The APK file is installed on both Android devices. For accurate tracking, the Usage Access permission must be granted manually via Settings -> App Usage Access -> App Monitor on the child's device to allow real-time monitoring of active and background applications.
Connection & Real-Time Usage Tracking
Once connected over BLE, the child's device advertises and notifies the central device. When a child opens and closes an application (such as Google Calendar or games) during online study sessions, the parent can tap Refresh Apps on their phone to immediately view the log of recently opened applications.
