Conversion of Normal Cycle to Electric Cycle
A follow-up conversion video that revisits turning a normal bicycle into an electric ride, with more focus on the controller wiring and battery sizing.
Picking up where the first conversion left off
This build revisits the same idea as the earlier conversion but goes deeper into the parts that are easiest to get wrong the first time — matching the controller to the motor and sizing the battery for the range you actually need.
Sizing the battery correctly
Rather than just fitting whatever pack is on hand, the video walks through choosing a battery voltage and capacity that suits the motor's rating, so the system runs efficiently instead of overheating or underperforming.
Charging and riding safely
Once wired up, the video covers charging the pack correctly and the checks worth doing before every ride, since a bicycle carrying a battery and motor behaves differently from a standard bike.
