Overhead Water Tank Alert System
A simple sensor setup that warns you before an overhead water tank overflows, instead of finding out from the puddle underneath it.
What this build does
A level sensor watches how full the tank is, and the electronics trigger a buzzer or notification once the water gets close to the top — giving you time to turn off the pump before it overflows.
It's a small, practical build aimed at a genuinely common household problem rather than a purely demonstrative one.
Why level alerts beat checking manually
Overhead tanks are usually out of easy sight, so overflow is normally only noticed once water is already running down the outside of the building. An automatic alert catches it the moment the level crosses the warning point instead.
Where this fits as a home automation project
It's a good example of a sensor-driven alert system — the same idea of watching a level or reading and triggering an alert applies to a lot of other household monitoring problems beyond just water tanks.
