Making of Wifi Robotic Sweeping Truck
A full making-of video for a WiFi-controlled robotic sweeping truck, combining a microcontroller, motor driver, chassis and brushes into a small robot you can drive from a phone.
The idea behind it
Instead of a plain remote-control car, this build adds a set of rotating brushes to the front so the robot actually pushes dust and debris along the floor as it drives, turning a driving toy into something with a real function.
How the WiFi control works
A WiFi-capable microcontroller hosts a small web page or connects to an app, which sends drive commands over the network to a motor driver controlling the wheels and brush motors, so the truck can be steered from a phone on the same network.
Putting the mechanics together
The chassis carries the drive wheels, the battery and the electronics, while the brush assembly is mounted low at the front so it stays in contact with the floor as the truck moves — the video shows this being tested on different floor surfaces.
