How to Install Android 9.0 in Micromax P295 Tablet
Flashing an Android x86 build onto a locked Micromax Canvas Tab P295 school tablet to bypass its factory restrictions and run Android 9.0 on the old Intel hardware.
Why this tablet is worth reviving
The Micromax Canvas Tab P295 was distributed as a locked school tablet with restricted password permissions that prevented installing new applications. Flashing an Android x86 image bypasses those factory restrictions and turns the ageing Intel-based hardware into an open system running Android 9.0.
What actually happens during the flash
An Android x86 ISO is burned to a USB flash drive using Rufus on a PC. The bootable drive, a keyboard and a mouse are connected to the tablet through an OTG cable and USB hub.
The F7 key triggers the boot menu, the internal partition is formatted to NTFS, the system files are written with read/write access, and the new Android install is launched directly from the tablet's own drive.
What to expect afterwards
Generic Android x86 builds lack native kernel drivers for the tablet's touchscreen and built-in camera, so touch input does not work out of the box. Navigation needs an external USB keyboard and mouse, and an external USB webcam for camera use — which makes it a compact desktop station rather than a handheld tablet.
